With the acquisition of RMC in March 2005, CEMEX remains the largest cement company in the United States and is now the largest ready-mix company in the U.S. The combined company will now operate 12 cement plants, 48 strategically located distribution terminals, 283 ready-mix plants, and 49 construction aggregate quarries.
