The Professionals in Development (PiD) Program is a recruiting and development program aimed at strengthening the talent pipeline of entry-level professionals through a learning by doing approach, in order to support the future growth of CEMEX.

The program's main objective is to develop early-career leaders identified inside and outside the organization, in different functions with a special emphasis on CEMEX´s main business lines. The program is composed by several rotations in different areas over a one-year time frame.

    What types of degrees does CEMEX look for when recruiting candidates for the PiD Program?
    Primarily, CEMEX is looking for business and engineering majors with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and above in the following and related disciplines: mining, electrical, industrial, civil, mechanical, materials science, and chemical engineering, and all business majors. You can also view the different areas that your major fits in the degree matrix.

  • Learning Rotation Tracks
  • At CEMEX, you will have the opportunity to participate in one of two tracks with varying emphasis dependent on your degree, skill set, and CEMEX's building needs.
    PiDs in the Cement track will do a Building Materials rotation while PiDs in the Building Materials track will do a Cement rotation. Both tracks will do a rotation in our corporate office in Houston, TX.
