Sustainability
Community Involvement
Being active in the communities in which we live and work is a core value at CEMEX USA. We leverage our core strengths, our employees’ talent and time, and our social investments to support the social and economic development of our surrounding communities.
Our Louisville plant recently partnered with Southwest Community Ministries to help fund their Facility Improvement Project.
Employees from our Fairborn, Ohio plant and quarry recently participated in the United Way’s Day of Service.
Our Florida Sand Division was recently honored by the Haines City – Polk County Regional Chamber of Commerce for their ongoing efforts in community service.
Our quarry in Brooksville, Florida formed an educational program onsite in 1993 and has since dedicated nearly 4,000 acres to wildlife and now an Environmental Educational Center. This Center serves as a learning laboratory for area students to study environmental science.
Our Knoxville facility recently gathered over 900 pairs of shoes for a drive benefitting Soles for Souls, a charitable organization that provides shoes to the underprivileged.
