Mineral Resource Technologies, Inc. (MRT) is a leading provider for Coal Combustion Product (CCP) management services to the electric utility industry. MRT has developed a complete line of patented, manufactured products made primarily from fly ash, including rapid-hardening hydraulic masonry and other high-performance cements. Sales throughout the U.S. are supported by a network of utility power plants, with distribution through a nationwide system of terminals. The MRT corporate headquarters are located in Houston, Texas.

By working in partnership with utilities across the country, Mineral Resources Technologies (MRT) provides high-quality fly ash to ready-mix concrete manufacturers and paving contractors. We also provide alternative Multi-Use™ ash products to other industries, including fly ash and bottom ash for cement production, flowable-fill, soil modification, as well as, waste and soil stabilization.

MRT management has more than 50 years of experience in all facets of the Coal Combustion Product industry, including: sales and marketing, ash handling and operations, disposal system design and implementation, logistics, product development and technical support.

As a subsidiary of CEMEX, the largest manufacturer and distributor of cementitious products in North America, MRT operates more than 21 terminals with access to more than 65 truck, rail and marine terminals throughout the CEMEX system.

Our companies combine the nation’s largest Fly Ash consumer with the industry’s largest fleet of railcars, barges and trucks, along with the logistics personnel and infrastructure needed to distribute fly ash nationwide. As part of CEMEX, MRT also provides the capital necessary to expand distribution of Coal Combustion Products to meet growing demand in new markets.

Operating with a “Customer First” perspective, our vastly-experienced Sales and Marketing group has become one of the largest and most experienced in our field. Working both independently and in conjunction with the CEMEX nationwide sales force, MRT has the depth and breadth, from both the product sales and logistic perspectives, to penetrate all markets with Coal Combustion Products.

At MRT, we believe product development is fundamental to the successful utilization of fly ash. The MRT Technology Center was established during the time that the company was founded and has since received 21 patents for the beneficial utilization of fly ash. The Center serves as the hub of our quality control / quality assurance testing and management, which has been successful in marketing Coal Combustion Products in previously-untapped markets.

MRT joined efforts with the CEMEX Technical Center (CTC), one of the largest of its kind in North America. Located in Riverview, Florida, the CEMEX Technical Center is equipped with the most advanced instrumentation for performing materials testing and analysis. The center provides technical support and services to all CEMEX USA customers and business units. The CEMEX Technical Center is also accredited by Construction Materials Engineering Council (CMEC) and inspected by the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL).

MRT has consistently been at the forefront of the Coal Combustion Product industry, since its inception in 1996 and continuing past its purchase by CEMEX in 2003.

CEMEX is one of the oldest and largest consumers of fly ash, consuming 1.5 million tons of Coal Combustion Products per year through its own cement plants and ready-mix operations. Jointly with MRT, CEMEX successfully promotes the use of Coal Combustion Products throughout the U.S., combining customer service and capital resources to support our customers and utility partners.
