The most commonly used types and varieties of bulk cement are listed below.
Our customers' most commonly used types and varieties of cement are the following:
Our gray ordinary portland cement is a calcium silicate hydraulic cement produced by pulverizing portland-cement clinker, and usually containing calcium sulfate and other compounds. Our portland cements meet all applicable chemical and physical requirements and is widely used in all construction segment: residential, commercial, industrial, and public infrastructure.
CEMEX is one of the world's largest producers of White Portland Cement. We manufacture this type of cement with limestone, low iron content kaolin clay, and gypsum. Customers use our White Portland Cement in architectural works requiring great brightness and artistic finishes, to create mosaics and artificial granite, and for sculptural casts and other applications where white prevails.
Masonry cement and mortar cement are a combination of portland cement, calcium sulfate, finely ground inert matter, and special chemical additives to provide enhanced workability and durability. The primary use of these masonry cements is for the production of mortar used in masonry construction with brick, block, and veneer materials.
Our well cements are a specially designed variety of hydraulic cements produced with portland cement-clinker and calcium sulfate. Produced in classes from A to H, our well cements is applicable for different parameters of depth, chemical aggression, and/or pressure levels.
Hydraulic cements may be produced by intergrinding or blending portland cement-clinker and calcium sulfate, or portland cement with other ingredients such as calcium sources, pozzolans, slags, and other additions. These cements conform to the specified cement attributes related to concrete performance including strength development, sulfate resistance, heat of hydration, and resistance to alkali-silica reactivity.
CEMEX offers these products which have a lower CO2 footprint resulting from their lower clinker content due to the addition of other materials. The use of hydraulic cements cements reinforces our strong dedication to sustainable practices and furthers our objective of offering an increasing range of more sustainable products.
To provide our customers with a greater selection of products and services, CEMEX provides masonry and portland cement bagged products to many of our markets.
In order to satisfy the needs of more customers in more markets, CEMEX also increased the amount of technical specifications and the variety of products sold in bags.
